I've got a MXPE and have been using it since I got the phone (right when they came out) and I've never had an issue. Have you tried uninstall/re-install, clear cache, restart, etc.?

I got my MXPE right when it came out and all the serial numbers weren't in the system yet so I wasn't able to activate it. I had to wait a couple days and then I was able to go in, have them give me a nano sim (my other phone had a regular sim so I couldn't just pop it in), and I was good to go...

I was using the Case Mate as well for a while. Decided that I wanted to have more protection on the back of the phone though. I got the Diztronic case from Amazon. I've been very pleased with it. If you decide you want a Case Mate Bumper again let me know I have the black one I will sell to you. :)

My signal has never been great at work either but what has seemed to help me is to keep it on WiFi. You could also put your phone in airplane mode and only turn it off when you have a few minutes to check your phone. Well, I guess that only works if you don't really need to use your phone a lot...

I was a little caught off guard by the size difference but I feel it's been an easy transition. From reading/watching reviews many said it was a large phone but still easy to use, and I agree. I'm just using the CaseMate bumper case which doesn't add much extra to the phone.
