Your FLACs are wasted over Bluetooth. You are not going to get great quality (unless your headphones support the newer Apt-X codec) . Best you can probably do is play with EQ. For apps I use Poweramp but have just downloaded Neutron which has some good comments on audiophile sites. Haven't used...

Look in your Settings under "Mobile data". Turn on "Use mobile network data plan when Wi-Fi is unavailable". It is below the "Bluetooth" setting. If already on dunno what the deal is.

I use Bluetooth extensively and never a problem. Includes many different devices (car phone, streaming music in car, headphones, boom box). Been very good. Wonder what's up with your devices?

If you have a lot of tunes skip HTC Sync Manager altogether or you may jump off a bridge. iSyncr is great for large libraries and to get just what you want on your device. I'm not sure if it will handle custom start and stop times, guessing not. I still use iTunes to buy music but it all syncs...
