Ok temporary fix is long press on the notification and select 'app info' then FC, I do not have option to disable notification (greyed out).

Ok now that update is being pushed ota, is there s way to disable the notification? Getting popup every time I unlock my phone. I am not rooted yet but do not want to lose the option. So 'installing the update' is not good solution to get rid of the notification.

ok, now I will wait and see. Completed the upgrade online using the 'Transfer Upgrade' option. With the long weekend will need to wait unti Tues/Wed to get phone and activate. As of right now my plan still shows unlimited data.

Thanks for the replies, I have gone back and read the other forums. Unfortunately still no luck with VZW transferring my upgrade. The line that is eligible is the one with unlimited. All reps on phone and in store tell me I will need to change data plans to upgrade even to transfer it. Sent...

Well if this can be done would sure like to know how. My line has unlimited and is eligible for and upgrade. I have 2 other lines on 2GB plans that are eligible in 08/13. I was in store and on phone with Verizon today and was told if I transfer my upgrade I will lose my unlimited data plan. So...

OK got OTA notification and downloaded the update. :) Unfortunately update failed. I am thinking it is because I have CW recovery instead of stock recovery. :( Other than that i am stock 4.02. Is there a method to apply the update?

Quick question to refresh my memory. Does unlock/rooted = no OTA?
