It completely stopped accessing the VMs for almost a week but now it's doing it virtually every time. Maddening.

At least I'm not the only one with this problem.

I'm using it both to stream certain stations and loop saved playlists from it, plus there's the music I've acquired elsewhere, all playing through the app. No idea how/why it's pulling up the archived VMs too.

I haven't - I'd kind of assumed they wouldn't work with a G Music subscription.

VM archive isn't showing up in G Music but accessing the phone's BT through the car stereo is bringing it up virtually every time now - it's maddening on short hops.
