UHS-II is backward compatible with UHS-I. It will work, but you won't get the speed. You'll still be limited to 104 MB/s. So far as I know, all Samsung phones, including the Note 9, are UHS-I.

I seriously doubt that you can override the limit to get 80% this time. Samsung is getting very serious now.
