I tried that but it says that usb connection to device is not possible - is this because usb debugging is not enabled ? Any other ideas ?

I dropped my Samsung galaxy s6 and the screen died now I can't access it to get my contacts. I hadn't enabled USB debugging and must have been saving my contact to the phone memory so my google account was missing them on my new handset. I have tried the dr fone software and I cant get the phone...
