I've found that my battery has been doing much better today. Guess it was true that it does better after a couple of charge cycles. I don't live in a LTE area so it isn't draining that fast but I could see how this will last all day for me.

My Eris shut off when I pulled the battery whether it's plugged in or not. Could never hot swap batteries when mine was dying. I guess either my phone sucks (likely scenario) or that has changed.

Did anyone else read the section, 'Removing the storage card while the phone is on'? It goes into a dialog about unmounting the card and such. But, how is this possible if you need to remove the battery first? By removing the battery, you much shut off the phone and thus the card is unmounted.

They do currently have a higher data plan for those who want to tether their phone. This could just be referring to that option. My mom does this with her Blackberry and I think her plan is for something like $49.99. I don't know if that's the same here as they do mention a $20 hot spot...
