I'd format the card in the phone, rather than the computer. In a way it prepares the card for use in the device, to its standards

You cant change this. It's a stock part of the application. Try installing swiftkey or another keyboard app. They are generally better anyway

My gear s doesn't wake up when tapping the screen. If its the auto wake up by doing the 'look at your watch' action then try this: settings> motion> uncheck wake-up gesture.

Re: Using Galaxy S5 as a hotspot If you phone can receive internet, it can distribute it wirelessly or by tethering it. Shouldn't matter who your plan is with. From experience, mobile hotspot isn't to flash, but will work just fine. Make sure you set up your security password so its secure...
