Re: [ROM]COLD AS ICE-CM9 Sprint LS670 9/1 ZVD basesband Alpha17
Can this be ported over to the your CM7 side kernels too, or can I just flash this with CM7?
It is unfortunate that both GingerKernel and the iScream kernels are based off of the previous released LG sources and have the charging issue specific to ZVH. The stock kernel in ZVJ apparently his this fixed so it charges from third party chargers that don't have the data pins shorted.
Looks like USB charging dies as soon as I flash from the ZVJ stock kernel to this one.
As soon as I revert back to the stock ZVJ kernel, USB charging (not from computer) works again.
Re: [ROM][ZVJ] GingerRom v1.0 4/8/12
Is the power controls mod going to be added for this?
I would say that using the ZVH framework apks or mods might be a problem, since there were CarrierIQ changes in this ROM... ummm..
I wonder if this new ROM will have Carrier IQ removed... will be interesting to see whether or not Sprint really has committed to removing this from future software releases...
Flashing roms that many times may wear your flash chips quickly. Eventually the flash chip on the phone will fail (usually gradually, unless you write to the whole flash)... But at that time, it will probably be time to replace your phone anyways...
I consider you lucky then, usually it is a moving average of 3 months only instead of 6... I guess too many people are abusing this... 3G Verizon PRL roaming FTW... lol
Yup, reflashing works... I guess I had the old Gingerbread update zip in there and I accidentally flashed some parts of it by accident. hahah... :) Thanks again.
A complete boot doesn't fix it for me - it used to when I was on the previous patch, but now it reboot loops no matter what I do (unless I remove the patch).
A logcat shows:
W/PackageParser( 1942): Exception reading AndroidManifest.xml in /system/framework/framework-res.apk
W/PackageParser(...
I wiped the cache and flashed the new noIQ patch in the first post - now my reboot keeps rebooting... I had to go back to recovery and flash the old framework-res.apk and android.policy.jar before it will boot again. Any ideas?
Is there a reason why you want to change the MTU? Unless you experience problems usually this value doesn't have to be changed.
Anyhow, if you really do want to change the MTU, do this:
adb shell busybox ifconfig rmnet0 mtu <mtu here (max 1500)>
