Since e911 can no longer be turned off on any cellular phone, the real issue for me is just hiding the icon. No use in having an icon that gives no real information and takes up space in the notification bar.

26Mbps down, 18Mbps up at home last night. The interesting thing, however, is that at work in Las Colinas (Irving, TX) about half a mile from a huge Verizon corporate office I am consistently getting 4Mbps down and 0.5Mbps up. I do not think it is VZW but still, you'd think they would make it...

I'm really interested to see how these work. I read in a thread over at XDA that the metal doors might/do cause radio/antenna issues with the phone.... but if they don't, I'm sure as hell getting one.

So, since the DX doesn't use a SIM card, can we assume VZW will include one when they send the SIII's? Or will we have to request one specifically from VZW? Some Info points to shipments coming directly from Sammy, so I've been wondering about the SIM card. Thoughts?
