Try the low-res version for 1.5 and under, the 1.6+ version doesn't work on anything past 2.1 IIRC. Also make sure that Clicker.apk is installed as well.

Just out of curiosity, what is the software version listed in the phone's settings>phone info section? I'm curious as to whether they've done an update or not.

Looks like Virgin lowered the price of the Optimus V back down to $150. I'm optimistic that this will come in around $250.

I'd wait it out a bit, it looks like service on Virgin has been fixed. I'm personally giving them a month to fix stuff.

It sounds like you have the Redirect of Death, which isn't tied to service outages, call customer service to have them fix your account.

If you can get to the programming menu, this guide should get data working, worked on my Incredible: CRICKET PST Settings Thread! by Ryan Mogul I highly recommend the $55 plan, as it has unproxied data. You might need them to change your device to CPE Android. Or, you could get an Optimus V.
