    New Dex Feature

I may very well be wrong on this, but my understanding is that the feature you're describing, using the phone in phone mode separately from DEX, is a function of the new DEX dock.

    Going for a Note 9 yes/no

Unless a dump truck runs over my Note8, I'm keeping it. It works fine and offers more funtionality than I actually use. I'm a tech junkie but only to a point. It's the only phone with the S-pen so I plan to stay with the Note series...unless Samsung screws that up, then I may look around some...

    Package Disabler +

I've thought about using it to remove the proprietary apps and duplicate apps I don't want. As far as the other things that tie into the System and other things, I'm not sure enough of possible problems to know what to zap and what to leave alone. Is there a reliable source to find out what will...

    Please weigh in on your Note8 vs/and/or Pixel 2XL experience . . .

Although not an admirer of Samsung's policies toward its proprietary software (which admittedly has improved in the last several years), I have to say the Note 8 is the best phone I've ever used. Like someone else said one time, the Note 8 is Android with Samsung's useful software added plus the...

    Factory Unlocked Note 8

I bought an unlocked Note8 direct from Samsung about 6 months ago, but using it on Consumer Cellular (they use AT&T towers). Really impressed with the Note8. Just the usual gripes about Samsung's proprietary apps that you can't get rid of, but otherwise it's probably the best phone I've ever had.

    Going for a Note 9 yes/no

Not planning on it - unless my Note8 gets run over by a dump truck, then I probably will. I may decide to go with a 2-year replacement cycle so that I can get more use for my money.

Is the Note 8 still worth it?

Re: Is it Note 8 still worth it? I've found it to be an amazing phone. Like one guy said about it, take Android 8, add Samsung's innovative software touches on top of that, and then put the Spen software on top of that - makes for a phone able to do many, many things running on excellent...

    Samsung Galaxy Note8 Issues

Congratulations on your Note8! Really like mine. I'm not sure about the issue you have. I do know that in Settings it allows Notifications to give you a reminder sound if you don't check the notification. Could this be what you're referring to?

AOD or not to use AOD

My Note 8 is the first phone I've had with AOD, and I really like it. It's very handy to see the time, day, date and, of course, texts, emails other notifications at a glance. If you double-tap, say, on the text icon and swipe the screen behind AOD it opens the text (email, whatever) for quicker...

    Which to buy?

Sorry, I'm really only familiar with the Pro since I own one. I truly like it a lot. Very compact & light to handle and take with me. It's quick and I've not run into a situation where I've managed to slow it down. I'm learning as I go since this is my first real CB, but I really like it. It's a...

    Note 8 Renewal

You betcha'! By the way, if you're interested, there is a full set of the original TV series & movies online for purchase (I'm not affiliated with them in any way). I haven't looked at the site in a long time but Google it. Last time I was there, they were still for sale.

    Note 8 Renewal

Not a huge deal, but I reset my Note 8. Even though I had a full backup using SmartSwitch, after resetting and restoring, there was much I had to do. While doing all this, I was able to review all the apps I previously had on my phone before reinstalling them. I decided to not install a number...

    Samsung flow is great

Did anyone determine whether SideSync and Samsung Flow are different in function?

Don't use USB C headphone adapters

Does anything USB plugged into the Note 8 have to be "ejected" in proper form like they do on a PC? Is that even possible on a Note 8? Just asking since I have a Note 8 but the only thing I've plugged into the USB-C connector is my power cord.
