Do you have Verizon? Because this happens to me on and I'm on Verizon. I had to use their apps to get my messages now.

Hmm the next time I'm on a call I'll see if the do not disturb is on. Is there a way to turn this off or is it automatic when your on a call? EDIT: I tested this out with my friend and noticed the do not disturb only comes on sometimes but not always.

I asked Google Support on this last night as it was bothering me and they said as long as its a Pixel camera that took it and uploaded it, it will not count towards the storage space.

Previously I was using Google Messenger and it played the whole notification tone. The tone is ~30 sec long but it doesn't last the whole 30 sec because when I hear it I would stop it. Heavy sleeper >_<, sometimes that long 30 sec notification tone helps me know if someone is texting me. Really...

I hope not. I usually make my notification longer just in case someone texts me while I'm sleeping or when I'm out walking and I can't hear the first few sec. I'll try and contact Verizon and see if they can help me on this.
