This is probably considered a feature since a lot of people accidentally turn ring volume off, don't notice it and then miss calls. They probably figure with the slider you can intentionally turn ring sound of easily.

I don't have the t mobile variant. I'm on Verizon, but I have had some quality issues also. I want to blame it on volte. I used to turn this off on other phones I had and it seemed to help. However, I haven't found a way to turn it off on this phone and see if it's the issue.

What makes you say it's not a security update? You have the July security patch. Mine updated also, but I believe it was on June before the update, not July.

Swipe down on the bottom half of your screen. I ran across it accidently and that's what works for me.

When I had a T-Mobile v10 that I used on at&t I would still get the T-Mobile updates. So your phone may still get updated.

I would guess t-mobile. That's what happened with previous updates on my TMobile v10 after I switched to att.

I'm sorry I didn't carefully read your post. You did indicate you could send it to LG. The g6 has a 2 year warranty in the USA. You indicated it was with t-mobile. You should have been able to send it back to lg to get it fixed.

The rear camera on my AT&T g6 is not focusing properly. It keeps going in and out of focus while making these crackling noises. The wide angle camera and front facing camera work just fine. Seems to be a hardware issue to me. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks

Textra allows you to select contact groups for texting. I know aquamail allows the same for email.

The notifications may be coming from the Gmail app if you are using a Google account. The notification should indicate which app is sending it. If so you can go into the Gmail app and uncheck notifications or use the same method to silence as you are doing for the stock email app.

What email so are you using? Have you identified the source of the notification? If using something other than Gmail app you can turn off email sync in Google account settings. You can also go to notification, app settings and block notifications if other steps fail though you should rarely have...
