I did update the firmware, I used the one for my phone and carrier. However, battery is still stuck at 1%. This is the AP file I used with Odin: AP_A520WVLS2BRB1_CL12157431_QB16769390_REV00_user_low_ship_meta.tar.md5 I guess at this point it's a battery problem, and it will need to be replaced.
