I've had no problems, but have to wipe the scanner with a cloth often, especially if you eat while using the phone or use hand lotion. If you re-do your print, make sure you turn each touch so that it recognises different positions of your finger. Doesnt work with cold finger.

From what I've seen of the Note 8, not excited. "Improvements" not as good as Note 7. I'm still mad they forced me to give up a perfectly fine perfect phone. Edge will have to live with me another year.

I gave up on a protector months ago, so the lack of protection forced me to a Best Buy Tech21 Wallet Case. Does a good job..no scratches..but a tad awkward taking photos. I like the credit card slot, even tuck a bill in it too & leave purse at home. This phone's only drawback is 32GB storage...

The pin is for that time when your fingerprint doesn't work. It's plan B, not a double unlock. Also allows family access to your phone via pin when you can't.

Make sure it cannot read your fingerprint! Mine gets funky, but reads once I turn my thumb the right way & hold it

I think a lot if us don't realize how the keyboard works..it's intuitive to a fault. I keep hitting the wrong keys & it remembers those mistakes, but if you delete the wrong word, it will stop unless you do it again. "if" Instead of "of" drives me insane, but my fault every time.

Restart usually clears that for me, & make sure rotation setting is not off..sometimes accidently hit tile without realizing it.
