Headphones Make Phone Unable to Detect Audio

My Samsung S7 Edge suddenly stops detecting audio when I plug in my headphones. Whenever I make Skype calls and Facebook Messenger calls with the headphones plugged in, the person I am video calling is unable to hear me, but I can hear them just fine. This never happened before, it suddenly started happening.

Maybe bad headphones? No problem with Samsung headphones on my Edge. Make sure they are making good contact into plug. Good Luck

Does the headphones have a mic? Could be the mic on the headphones are broken.
