And us lucky AT&T Note 4 owners don't even get Car Mode: AT&T yanked it for a lousy app called DriveMode. It simply restricts what you can do driving (i.e., trying to launch any app leads to the DriveMode screen). Thank you so very much, AT&T! Michael

Mine boots right into recovery. Each time, before the screen where you can select ADP, wipe, etc., appears it says "Installing system update..." But it boots into recovery no problem. With the phone off I press and hold up, home, then sleep--in that order--until I see booting into recovery...

No it won't damage them. It will only charge them at 5 volts. The adaptive charger only ramps up to 9 volts when the Note 4 tells it to (or presumably any device released that supports adaptive charging). Mike
