Samsung Galaxy Note 4 If I install a launcher, what functionality will I lose?

It seems I can't get a straight answer on this. I am coming from an S3 running NOVA launcher, and I absolutely loved it over the stock launcher. I have the note 4 now and I really like touchwiz 10 fold what I did with the S3, but little things like customizing the size of the apps on the homescreen and the number of columns is sorely missed. The giant gaps really bother me between the rows forcing me to use lots of folders to compensate, ideally I'd like to go back to nova but I do not want to lose functionality that is important to me. I can not find a list of what is affected, so anyone with a new launcher can you please chime in? S pen functionality and multitasking I am most specifically worried about, but anything else I'd also love to hear about! Thanks

I haven't noticed the loss of any features using Nova Launcher. Can u be more specific? I've had Nova on since getting it on 10/22/14.

Re: If I install a launcher, what functionality will I lose?

I just switched to Nova yesterday, and the only thing I lost was the calendar widget. Which unfortunately is something I used. Haven't had a chance yet to figure out if there's a way to get it back, or look for an alternative on the Play Store. But other than that, everything seems to be working fine.

That's good news then, it seems it's the same as the s3 was with the calendar widget and thats about it. What about s note functionality with its widgets, or pen functionality?

Edit. The link just about answered it all thanks!

And while I'm at it, how is everyone liking nova on the note 4? Still feel smoother?

why don't u just try the free version, see if you like it, if you do, I recommend the paid version and then u can install/use Tesla Unread Plugin.

I tried touch wiz for a few days but had to go back to nova prime because tw was laggy.

What does that plugin do?

With Nova I do miss being able to save action notes to my home screen as icons, but that is about it.

I installed Nova and it works great

Only functionality I lost was using S-note to attach a note directly onto your workspace.

Yea I miss that too. With the the Note 4's display I can actually read them too--well mostly. It is a nice use of all a 1x1 space on that 4x4 grid. Wish there were 1x1 widgets that did similar.

When you all set up Nova what screen setting are the same as the TW screen settings. I'm talking the screen width and height settings.

The last time I used Nova I don't think I could ever get it right. Like 5 icons wide by 6 icons high or whatever the settings is called in Nova
