Screen off uses whatever your Notes app has set. The buttons at the top only switch between pen, eraser and save. If you want a different pen, you have to go into Notes and change it there. It will always use whatever pen is last used in the Notes app. It would be nice though if we could change it.

Change your Do Not Disturb setting to allow priority notifications then make sure the app you are using is set as priority in notification settings.

It seems the trusted places GPS location is pretty narrow. I had to add 2 trusted places at my house. One in the front of the house and one in the back of the house. Otherwise it would ask me for my pin also.

I don't think this is Samsung's issue. My daughter has an iPhone and gets my live messages just fine. We are both on TMobile. Maybe it is an ATT thing or his iPhone settings?
