The Samsung calendar. Ugh, it seems like something that should always be a setting.

When I create an event in the calendar, I would like to have it set to remind me 1 hour before the event all the time, rather than having to manually do it evertime. Is there any way to do this?

The iPhone I had would mute (or at least lower) all other sounds when the phone rang or during notifications. Is there a way to do this on the Samsung Galaxy s5?

Suddenly, in the past couple of days my phone has stopped auto connecting to good wifi. I mean, it will auto connect to optimum or verizon, but when I go into my house or a friends, it won't connect to their wifi. I have to manually choose it. Any idea why this started happening?

Is there an app like Zooper, but for notifications? To make a widget, I mean, with access to notification information instead of weather and date and stuff.

Initial reaction is that zooper is very cool. Much more configurable than uccw, and has the correct weather info. I will play with it more later. Thanks a'plenty for this recommendation!

(edit: I'm with Verizon, and have been for years) Coming from the iPhone, I was able to see my voicemail messages and handle them. Turns out on my new Samsung I would have to pay a monthly fee to do that. Any good, free apps that simply let me manage my voicemail like I did on the iPhone? Thanks

Noob question. I've been using Message+ because it's the first one I clicked on. For veteran users - is there any reason to use one over the other, or am I overthinking it? Thanks

I tried NILS, but it won't work on the lock screen on the S5 because widgets aren't allowed. Apparently they were on the S4, but no longer. I'll keep looking. Thanks.
