I have an app called System Monitor which does a few things but I only use it for battery info. I have found though that the Android version built in is more accurate and works fine so I have a shortcut to that on my Home screen.

I have charged both a battery in the LG V20 and my spare in the charging dock using the provided cable and both were very fast. I prefer to charge in the dock though so my V20 isn't tied to a cable although I would have preferred wireless charging but the doc and a quick swap out will suffice :)
