I have both. I enjoyed the N5 for quite some time tho I rarely ended up using the S-Pen. I'm finding the S7E to be quicker, has a much better display, feels better in my hands, etc. If you add in the MicroSD card and waterproof design the S7E is a winner in my book.

You may be right and that would make more sense. Bottom line is just because the reader has a chip slot doesn't mean that S pay won't work.

I think retailers have the option of requiring chip cards to be inserted or swiped or either. I've been places that have the chip reader and was told "We don't have that enabled yet" and the S Pay worked fine. Then at Walmart they require a chipped card to be inserted and S Pay doesn't work...
