specific apps like Snapchat & textra have options to turn off the screen wakeup, but you won't find a setting for it in the actual device settings. you just have to hunt through the notification settings in each affected app to see if it's a possibility. hope this helps.

that may be an app dependent setting. textra allows me to change the vibration pattern, but not for specific contacts.

i would disagree, only because i do think the v series is considered an alternate flagship for LG and the V10 & V20 have been great all-around (albeit niche) devices.
