I'm now approaching 8 hours into the encryption process on my Nexus 7. Did your encryption every complete?

I wish I had answer, but instead I have a question: Did your encryption finally complete? I'm encrypting my Nexus 7 and it's been seven hours so far.

It's not just Verizon. Soon after updating my Samsung Galaxy S5 to Lollipop my phone started to heat up and burn through battery life at a rate I'd never seen before. I'm with Docomo in Japan.

For the sake of clarity in my own mind: If I encrypt my Samsung Galaxy S5 I have to use a password, which must contain a number and be at least six characters long, every time I unlock my phone? A PIN is no longer an option even if I'm just unlocking the S5, rather than restarting it from power off?
