But I would first have to root the device, right? I just haven't found many people working on ROMs for the Galaxy 7.7. It appears to be the red headed stepchild in the Galaxy Tab line-up.

I have read about some of the advantages (and possible disadvantages) of rooting in some of the forums. I am just wondering if rooting will make the device more efficient, save battery by eliminating bloatware, etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions on rooting the Samsung Galaxy 7.7? I really like the tablet but I know it could be sooo much better! I have never rooted any of my other devices but I think I am willing to take the leap on this one if it's possible. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I just recently bought a Nexus 7 (32GB) and I LOVE IT. I already had a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 so I was used to the size. I think the 7-8 inch tablets are fantastic for everyday use and ease of carry.
