Received New Verizon Note 9 Update

Hmm. Mine is too. I suppose I could have made a mistake, but I remember being surprised that it was June. I didn't check it again after clearing the cache and rebooting. I wonder if that could made the difference? Maybe it wasn't quite done?

Received New Verizon Note 9 Update

I got it a few days ago. Everything seems to be pretty good after cleaning the cache. It's too bad that this was delivered with the June security update though.

    BlackBerry Hub on Samsung S9?

I looked for a long time and couldn't find a decent substitute. Samsung had something similar called Focus a few years back. I don't know if it's still available. Try their Galaxy Store.

    BlackBerry Hub on Samsung S9?

You can subscribe to BlackBerry apps in the Play Store and use the real BlackBerry Hub. It works great on my Note 9.

    Missing messages

You don't mention which carrier you use. Some of the carriers' messaging apps will give you the ability to restore messages from their server. For example, in Verizon's Message+, hit the Settings menu, then Account, and finally Restore Messages. You'll get the choice to restore from your SD...

S9+ vs Note 9 for wife?

The S10e is a little bit smaller, but a lot easier to use with just one hand. The battery is smaller than the S9+, but the smaller display and newer processor on the S10e will probably negate that difference. The S10e is a year newer too, which means at least one more OS update to Android 11...

S9+ vs Note 9 for wife?

My wife has and really likes her S9+ and I have the Note 9. She'd like her battery to last a little bit longer. If they're both available for $400, then I'd consider the Note 9 over the S9+ because the battery is bigger by more than 10% and because the onboard storage starts at 128MB. It kind...

I have a s2 smart watch and would like to change to a different style band. Any suggestions?

Yes, most bands/bracelets that are designed to fit 20mm lugs will work with the Gear S2.

Thinking of getting a S7 Edge - do you still recommend this phone?

I have two of them in the house. Neither of them have had the issues that you described. In fact, they've been very solid. I'd avoid eBay though like the plague. Look on someplace like Swappa of you want to buy used. Too many unknowns on eBay. Your carrier might also have some old stock at...

    Unlocked on Verizon?

Just because the phone may have the correct radio, that doesn't mean that the phone will be fully compatible. If that device is like most others that are not intended specifically for Verizon's network, it will likely work for most routine uses. Don't expect things like HD service...

    My Phone needs help

How are you able to use the phone if you can't get it to charge? If I understand it correctly, the charge port and the wireless charging receiver are both merely different inputs to the battery charging system. You won't have to look very long to find reports of people getting their phones wet...

    My Phone needs help

It sounds like the phone is detecting moisture, or thinks that it is detecting moisture. In either case, the phone likely won't take a charge until the device thinks that it is completely dry. If you didn't have the device anywhere near water, then the issue could be related to your drop. The...

    Looking at cheap phones

If you're able to come up with $100-$150 or so, you can look at the Amazon Prime Exclusive devices. Some of them come in near $100, and you can find some with a lot of the features of more expensive phones for not much more. If you'll look around the net (try XDA), you can bypass the ads too...

I am being charged for data despite not using any.

If you went six months without using any data, it may be a maintenance charge. O2 can tell you if you're being hit for an account charge or if there was data actually consumed. Your carrier's customer service department should be your next call.
