Yeah, quality control is practically nonexistent in China and HK. Some work, some don't. Its really a crapshoot. Still, the prices on some of that stuff are so low that it's often worth the gamble.

It can't be done. In order for the emulators to see the flash drive, the OS would have to support external storage natively, which it doesn't. The only app capable of seeing a flash drive is Nexus Media Importer. The best you can do, is use the media import app to temporarily copy the ROM(s)...

If you use an OTG device like Meenova to copy the files over, you won't get that error message. In fact, you could even stream them directly from the memory card via the microUSB port. Awesome little thing, and only $12. I have two of them. They work with any size memory card, including 64GB...

I don't see what the OS has to do with it. I use my iPod Touch as a mouse for my Windows PC, when it's hooked up to my TV. (two vastly different OS's) I would think any app that can connect to another device via WEBdav or SAMBA, should be able to do the trick. I know the N7 can connect to my PC...

It's not a compatibility issue, it's probably just defective. Most of those things are cheap Chinese knock-offs. Did you happen to read the reviews on that one before you purchased it? I'd like to see that answered as well. It frustrates me to no end, when apps that I never use, launch themselves and actually use data, even on days that my tablet wasn't turned on...and wifi was OFF.
