Hi, I am struggling to understand why 2 Nexus 7's have all of a sudden popped up in my sons device list. I bought him a tablet today just a cheap Kobo arc and registered it to his E-mail. When I was looking in Google play store on my laptop I went to send a game to the new Kobo but then saw that the app was not compatible with all my devices. So I clicked the little tab to show my devices and to my shock I saw 2 x Nexus 7's in the list which I don't own or have ever owned. Only I know my sons E-mail and password so I can't see how these two devices are showing up on his list.

If anyone has any info I would appreciate it. I would like to contact someone to find out what they are and where and how they was registered in this account. Is there any other way to register a device other than logging into it with the Google E-mail and then downloading apps in the Google store?

All this is rather annoying and confusing. Oh and I have also tried to find the location of the devices on the map but the only name that comes up is Jacks tablet.

You didn't mention your son's age, but if he's an adult or employed teen, is it possible that HE may have purchased them as surprise Christmas gifts for you? (parents?)

EDIT: Google automatically registers new devices to your account on the day they ship. The 2 Nexus tablets show that they were registered, but never used. Sounds to me, like a recent purchase that shipped on the 9th and are still in transit. The "last used" status will remain blank until they're opened and turned on.

Exactly. Merry Christmas?

I wish the OP would respond; my curiosity is killing me as to what it was. I hope he didn't spoil any surprises. :)

"Only I know my son's email and password"

I think that, after reading this, the chances his son offered his dad and himself a Nexus 7 are close to none.

Lol your son may have bought you better tablets for Christmas than the KOBO you bought him ROFL
