I did read that you recently repainted your case. Did the problems happen after that. I would, if possible sand your case with some 200 grit sandpaper around the edge that meets the screen to remove any possible burrs/fuzz (might have been painted over) that might be there.

Are you using a case, screen protector? Is the screen dirty? If so, try removing them to see if that helps. You could always do a reboot.

This thread makes me feel bipolar...... I was very happy and thought I had found a way to subdue my new phone cravings, but now I see that is not the case.

It was the same for me when I rooted my OG Droid. I had downloaded the update.zip file to boot from, the first one did not work, I erased it and just chose a different mirror. It worked fine after that.

I am in the same boat as you, however I have not purchased the Tbolt yet. My main concerns are the unlimited data pricing and build quality. I am under the impression that the Bionic is plastic similar to the Nexus S. This concerns me for durability reasons and heat dissipation with the 4G...
