I have just upgraded from 2.2 to 2.3.4. I was stuck on 2.2 for a while but was able to follow step one of the prep for Gingerbread link and the phone did the rest. (Nexus One, T-Mobile) Then I used andriod sync to put the contacts back on the phone and it deleted 941 contacts from my computer...

I am having the exact same problem. I have tried all of the above as well. I am not adversed to rooting the phone. Will rooting the phone get me the update? If I root it will all of the updates be forth coming? I am pretty sure that my N1 is unlocked. Thanks in advance. P.S. The phone...
