I had a lot of the same issues and just flashed my phone from the T-Mobile build to the Fi build and although not perfect I would say it is 80% better and more stable now.

Go to your settings > Data Usage and see what apps are using data, some apps can use a specific data source ie: cellular v WiFi, i will guess you may have an unfriendly app somewhere using data you are not aware of.

Yes there is now an update for the Galaxy mega 6.3 on AT&T this update adds support for the Galaxy gear and updates "AT&T Ready to go" software. I went and got a galaxy gear yesterday and can verify it now works with the mega when she do the update you have to go to the Samsung Apps...
