With the downfall of blackberry, android is the only acceptable option for a phone (at least for me). The Nexus 5 is the obvious device to choose, even if we have to wait a while.

In real world situations the only thing the S4 has up on the Nexus is its camera (assumplty). The rest I think the Nexus kicks the S4's ***.

The nexus may be let down a bit with its camera, and not really any special features or build quality, but it's a solid phone. The screen is bigger and >= quality to the one. It's plastic and the speakers are ordinary for phones (I use earphones anyway) but aside from that it's top of the line.

Thanks, that's a good way of looking at it. I'm finding it hard to decide. a 2.3Ghz CPU runnning vanilla android is obviously going to have amazing performance. The notification light is a big plus for me, reminding me of blackberry which I loved. Boomsound I'm not sure if I'd mind losing that...

Anyone know what this is about? I am trying to just get the HTC One but I want it for ?450 like the black one was a month or two ago. White is ?440 right now, but it used to be ?404 and I'm particularly wanting the black one. Not sure what to do for now.

Agree but I'm talking about android touchscreens really. Blackberry I just am not willing to go back to, it looks like the people in charge are just trying to line their own pockets and turned their back on the company/products.

One of the problems with the S4 is colours are a bit too vibrant and this might not be good for movies. I noticed there's a movie mode and someone actually complained in a review "but this makes colours look a lot more dull" or something, and this actually sounds like one of those good problems...
