Wife's new S8 is having similar issue. SIM from 3rd party going CDMA with Verizon. It actually worked for one day, but after an update the next, it won't connect to the network. I get Emergency Calls Only. Have tried playing with APN's, reboots, hard resets, wiping cache, pulling SIM and trying...

Okay here we go. Wife got brand new S8. Finally got CDMA card thru RedPocket. All set up worked for one day. Next day, there was a software update. Now it gives me an occasional "SIM Data Refreshing". Also, even though I have a signal (that comes and goes) it still says "Emergency Calls Only"...
