    If you are able to do so, make a backup of your phones information, then do a factory reset of the device. It should restore your ability to receive wifi on your phone.

    Any way to filter out "open" WiFi networks?

    I've been trying to figure that one out myself, I've just created a hot spot for reverse tethering and there are so many networks that I have a hard time keeping connected due to it always scanning for a better connection. frustrating.
