CPU Usage Spike, Gear Fit2+Galaxy S7

Hey, anybody else getting this problem with the phone's CPU usage spiking to 100% whenever the phone and the Fit2 communicate with each other? Like I have the Galaxy S7 and a Gear Fit2. For about six months, everything was working perfectly, but then about a week ago (Sept 16), every time I sync...

Private mode either slow or doesn't work at all

OK, so I read on XDA about a bunch of people having similar issues with their new S8 phones (WTG, Samsung), and apparently uninstalling and disabling the Google Search app solves this. Now, I did that, and everything seems to work normally now. Private Mode works normally. Apps install...

Google Play store not installing apps

Yeah, I don't think this problem is limited to just the S8. I have the Tmo GS7, and sometimes apps would just get stuck at 100% and never install until I force close Google Play and reopen it. And there are a few other issues with my phone that I have good reason to believe are related: 1. The...

Private mode either slow or doesn't work at all

I have this exact same issue on my GS7. I turn on Private Mode, but nothing shows up in the Gallery for several minutes. But in the "My Files" file browser, the "Private" partition shows up normally, and I can open the pictures from there. I tried clearing the cache, resetting the Gallery and...

The S7 Nougat Update Ruined my Phone

No, I've been using Nougat on my T-Mobile S7 for almost three months, and I honestly can't believe some of the stuff I read here. I don't see any of the problems people are describing. I know, I know...people always say that to deflect complaints about their favorite OS, but I really do mean it...

Are There Any HAPPY Nougat Users?

I'm very happy with Nougat. Been using it on my T-mobile S7 for over a month. Battery drain is usually less than 1% while dozing, I can now stop my phone from automatically connecting to certain wifi networks without deleting them, I can turn the resolution down to 720p to save battery, I now...

    T-mobile Nougat Update Received

Nice update. Glad I'm finally able to set the phone from automatically connecting to certain wifi networks without needing to remove them. Kind of bummed that the update removed that widget that shows your chosen apps based on your location, but I'm pretty sure something like that exists on the...

Can I Stop The Samsung Pay Notifications?

Your suggestion does work. Tap and hold a notification, and then sliding the switch to "off" turns off all of the notifications for that app for me.

    Email setup issues

I had the same problem when I tried to add a Hotmail account to my S7's email app. You have to set it up manually and then change m.hotmail.com to m.outlook.com.

I can't add my Hotmail account to Galaxy S5

Yeah, this fixed it on my GS7. Thanks.

    samsung pay

Yeah, I just tried using Samsung Pay at my local Safeway, and they just upgraded all of their payment terminals to accept the chip cards. Samsung Pay still works there. And it works at Target too, where they've upgraded their payment terminals to chip terminals. Thank god too. I really love...

galaxy s7 battery drain.. and no i do not have oculus or gear vr

I find that the only thing that really chews up the battery is the screen. All those AMOLED pixels being on at full blast, man my battery consumption can be as high as 50% per hour. Ever since I started manually adjusting the brightness (as opposed to leaving it on Auto), my GS7's battery can...

Why so hard!!! Need seperate email, one for work and one for hotmail

Re: That is what I do. I came from using a Windows phone for two years, so I get what OP is talking about. I have three email accounts setup in the stock email app: personal, work/professional, and junk mail/promo crap. Back when I used to use W10m, I had three tiles on my Start screen showing...

S7 messages app no block option

Ah, OK. I understand what you mean now. I found some other threads here asking about a missing message blocking function, and the OPs have Verizon-branded phones too, so it sounds like you might be right.

S7 messages app no block option

It must be another reason. My S7 is T-Mobile branded, and I have the block option:
