Email setup issues

Hi,

I have a Hotmail account, which had been setup via Outlook Exchange on my phone.

It had always worked without issue, however it recently stopped syncing the Junk mail. I was receiving Junk mail when I logged on via a PC, but my phone (Galaxy S7) stopped receiving the Junk mail.

I removed the account.

I then clivke on thr email app icon and trief to setup the account, but it keeps freezing on 'Checking incoming server status'.

I have turned my phone on and off (is there another way to reboot the phone?).

I have cleared cache within the email app.

I have been trying to connect by both 4G and WiFi.

I haven't changed any settings within the manual setup, so I assume that things like the Domain name are correct (how would I know own though?).

Any ideas how I can setup my email account again please?

My domain name currently appears as:

\email address

Is that correct, or should I have some text before the \ ?

I do not know what my domain name should be. Can you please advise?

Have you reviewed this documentation? You would just enter your email address without the slash.

I had the same problem when I tried to add a Hotmail account to my S7's email app.

You have to set it up manually and then change m.hotmail.com to m.outlook.com.
