Google photos or drop box would work. Also you could attach them in an email and send them to yourself and then download them onto the other device that way.

They are important but as far as hacking goes, windows is the top targeted OS. Its mainly common sense when using any device that connects to the internet. Don't go on any sites you don't trust and don't download anything that looks suspicious. I used windows for years and never had one virus...

Could well be a fake app but unusual to be a google assistant one. Just to be sure you can download eset antivirus off the playstore and do a scan of your phone.
