    T-Mobile Nexus 4 contract cancelled

If they come through on what they usually do, you'll get a bill for ~$300 to cover the rest of the cost of the phone. They retail the phone full price for $499. if you cancel your contract within 14 days of purchase (buyer's remorse), you're right you wont have a contract anymore, but you do...

Nexus 4 signal bars say "G"

Not quite. G is GPRS. What's usually known as "2G" is EDGE, or E. If you're on GPRS that usually means something is wrong, or you're in a super rural area. There aren't many major areas of the country that still have GRPS-only service coverage I dont think. You'll still find plenty of places...

    Solavei and Google Voice

dont see why it wouldn't work. the nexus 4 has the right frequencies and you'd just have to put in the SIM and set up the APN settings.

    Some questions about Android 4.2

You can't "disable" the lockscreen widgets, but you don't have to add any. If you don't add any, then there's no adverse effect on you just unlocking and using the phone as usual. If you have a PIN/Password/Face unlock, you can't add widgets without entering the password first either. You will...

    Android 4.2

where did you buy it from? if you haven't been updated to 4.2 yet, it likely means that you're not on a "takju" or "yakju" model. this means that you have a regional variant aka "yakju**" that hasn't been updated. If you do have yakju or takju, as if you bought from the Play Store, then there's...

    facebook contact sync

I don't think so. Although you'll still see a "Facebook contacts sync" checkbox in the settings of your phone, it won't actually work. Facebook isn't following Googles rules when it comes to data portability and syncing, so they don't get to sync properly until they change how they're operating...

4g on atrix hd won't work after update, please help!

This is usually an "APN" issue. You'll have to go into your wireless settings and make sure there's proper data APNs set (google "AT&T data APN"). if you're having trouble on your own, you can always call or go into an AT&T store and have them re-configure it...

    Marketing: Why Samsung is Winning

That's pretty astonishing to see Sammy spending so much on advertising and marketing, but when you see how many print ads, billboards, tv spots and event sponsorships they do worldwide its not surprising. It helps when Samsung is a gigantic multinational corporation with "limitless" pockets...

    How does that happen?

it is a bit baffling, but we have to remember that Google makes just as much (or more) money per user that have an iPhone than any Android phone. its still in their interest to make a good app for iOS.

    how to enable data

I'd hide your IMEI, don't want anyone to see that! And when you said your connection just died... are you using this on an AT&T dumb/featurephone plan? or on a smartphone one? If everythings enabled for data properly on the phone and you havent changed anything substantial, i'd be inclined to...

Why is homescreen roatation turned off?! Nexus 7 can do it

dont think auto-rotating homescreen on a phone is such an automatic good idea. for most people theyre just going to be using in portrait. there are other 3rd party launchers that can let you do it, or as someone mentioned the ultimate rotation control app, if you want to easily accomplish this.

music player with volume control on screen?

Hm well the built-in Google Music player does this. I think its probably simple enough for developers to integrate this into their app... if they haven't, its likely they just havent had enough requests for it

    Hi everybody

Interesting idea! what's your general idea for using the phone as an anti-theft device?
