I've been reading up on the G2 and some reasons for battery drain. when I first got the phone, I could go 2-3 days without charge. now it will drop like ~10% an hour while at work. overnight (about a seven hour period) it dropped ~30%. I've posted some screen shots of my gsam, wld, and battery...

with my old Samsung and HTC phone, the data would kick on to receive a mms message, then it be on WiFi again. my g2 gets mms with Wi-Fi, but I've been getting failed downloads from one person in general. it's really weird. Sent from my LG-D800 using AC Forums mobile app

thank you both! I never had a problem with the amount of messages in my ONE X+, but it seemed that I had too many messages in my message app. I deleted some of the threads and set a limit, and all seems well. now i have the eternal battery drain problem..

Hey all, I've had my G2 for maybe 2 months now. Everything was good until about 3 weeks ago when I noticed that my keyboard would lag only in my texts. I didn't think anything much of it because it would be sporadic. Then the text itself would be slow to send, taking 15-20 seconds or longer...

I'm having the same problem with my MBP, but after the update fails, it doesn't recognize the phone. I have to uninstall/reinstall kies. i really don't want to do a factory reset to update my phone. I wish Samsung would get themselves together!

Re: Tried to update my skyrocket to ics from odin but update fail mine did the same. i foolishly pulled the battery and restarted. luckily, it just went back to normal. then it wouldn't recognize my phone, so i had to uninstall/reinstall kies. right now i'm updating the firmware. hopefully...

i know i should know better than to listen to at&t store reps, but i was kind of told that i would never have issues using this phone with a mac. i'm kind of pissed. and why isn't the update over the air? if it wasn't for this employee discount i would've ditched at&t long ago..
