Well, I was proved wrong. Why do some sites, like the official LG site, claim it only supports up to 32 GB?

Where did you get that from? 128GB? It doesnt support SDXC, only SDHC which is capped at 32GB. Dont mean to be rude, but don't give false advice, OP might buy an SD card which his phone won't recognize.

Probably dumb question, but just to make sure: You have not set your phone to Do Not Disturbe mode, have you? You can set calls to go directly to voice mail in Android, you have not accidently done that, right? You can google how to do that, I can't post links.
