I just got my new HTC one m7 back, and it keeps trying to do the update, I am afraid of it breaking again. Is the update safe yet?

Alright, I already deleted everything with factory reset, anything important was already backed up in case of this anyways. :)

So I was doing the Andriod 5.0 Lollipop update, and I thought it froze, so I rebooted my phone, it started the update again, and then went into a screen with the phone on it with a red triangle which I now learned is recovery mode, I have tried everything, I factory reset (erased all user data)...
