Transferring contacts and apps from old HTC desire to Moto G

I've just brought a Moto G to replace my three year old HTC desire S. I followed the on screen instructions using the Motorola Migrate App. However I could'nt remember my Gmail account details since I never use it. It's copied over my photos and text messages, but not my apps or contacts. Any idea how I can get these? Thanks

If you have your HTC, you can make a backup with an app from the playstore
And then import everything from the moto g
