Saved Ringtones are gone

Oh dear not sure what's going on now..my alarm woke me this morning fine....but not with usual ringtone looked at my phone all my saved ringtones notification tones gone!! Tried to retrieve them from my Zedge app won't let me download anything 6 of my apps have stopped working most of my data has gone!! Why what happened in the night!!! How do I fix it?

Yes Marshmallow about 6 days ago
The only thing I did was my SD card stopped responding so unmounted it safely took it out then reinserted it seemed fine

During or immediately after the update did you select "Adopted" or "Internal" storage option for your SD Card?

At first adopted but bad glitches so backed up then internal
Just done factory reset and restored phone to a back up I did 3 days ago
Bit of a pain but seems to have solved problem!
