What is foolish is trying to upgrade and keep unlimited, even though my wife and I don't even use 1GB per month each. I keep thinking with new devices tethering and wifi hotspot will be used a lot more. My daughter on the other hand is averaging 4-6GB per month due to broken WiFi on her iPhone 4, but isn't due for an upgrade.

Some people have now or anticipate different data usage.

Nexus. Through spacetime.

If Verizon was serious about saving bandwidth they'd eliminate unlimited data and make the data cap 8gb. Very few people are going over 2gb, but Big Red starts close enough to fleece customers even more.

It has nothing to do with saving bandwidth and everything to do with fleecing customers.

That's for sure. I have 2 unlimited lines and for the privilege of upgrading with V I would have to change to share everything and pay $50 more per month. If this is not fleecing customers I don't know what is.
