I too have lower notifications. I have cleared cache and done a factory reset. Volume is turned all the way up in settings and music plays loud. However it is just the notifications that are very quiet.

I had the same problem. If you have developer mode turn on and have all of the animations turned off it won't work. Turn the animations to .5 and it will work again. (Took me 3 factory resets and 2 hours to figure that out).

Developer Mode was not on - I turned it on and all 3 of the animation settings were 1. I changed them to .5 to see if that helped????

I also have had the notification volume decrease. It seems roughly by about 50%. I love this phone, but unfortunately I don't hear well and this is a major problem for me.

What in the holy heck?! Change animation duration scale to 10 and moto display will illuminate for near 30 seconds!
Is this a bug or what?

The delay for the ringer/speaker is intentional according to a Moto/Lenovo forum moderator. Take it fwiw. This was definitely more than only a security update, but whether you notice or not is debatable.

Do you have the link to that post? That issue is about the only thing keeping me from using this phone full time.
