... More likely use it for porn, hah,ha. Probably better options anyway as you already mentioned.
Why porn? I'd think people would want more privacy with that, not less.

Agreed, TBH, the projector seems like a really niche mod. Wonder if it would be practical n a business meeting setting? Maybe a quick impromptu showing in an office. More likely use it for porn, hah,ha. Probably better options anyway as you already mentioned.
I mean if you want to let out the 007 in you, it's got that cool gadgetry factor. It might payoff in some impromptu business or work applications, but its not for me. I can hear the hear sizzle but I'd rather taste the steak.

All in all I'm still not sold on the whole mod thing. I am currently driving the LG G5....while I realize LG did not execute the whole mod concept as well as Moto, I'm still not convinced Mods have a future. There are too many unanswered questions into how this will play out.
I say if you want one of these Droids, buy it for the phone first, the mods second. That's what I did with the LG and I'm very happy with the phone. It was my first jump off of Moto and I was with them since the original droid. My only complaints with droids were that they seem to run slow, freeze up a lot after the newness wore off and had such poor cameras I only took photos as a last resort. I jumped ship when Lenovo got into the mix and they broke some promises on updates. I'm hoping these new droids change all that. If I come back, I will go with force, but not because of the mods. I would most likely get the battery mod.... Anything else would have to be really impress me either in functionality or have extreme wow factor.

Phone geeks and gadget freaks will be attracted to the mods. The only mod I would need would be the battery pack and from vids I've seen of it , it seems to add to much bulk IMO. I'm not looking to get one anytime soon or at all, but am interested to see how they fare with the users.

Well my comment was a little tongue in cheek, but If I understand correctly the projector mod can project whats on the phone screen. So any clip, movie or vid would be fair game. I think some porn will be viewed. human nature is pretty predicable.

There were about 10 apps to disable. Is that really a dealbreaker??

Edit: Actually, I just checked, and all of the games are just gone (I don't remember uninstalling vs. disabling, but they aren't under my disabled apps). Only had to disable 5.

People just love to complain. Verizon on this phone is about average.

Exactly. I'm and more surprised that the Verizon logo is no where to be seen on this device. Looks good with ought the stupid Verizon logo on it.

I'm fairly certain that isn't possible. Are you quite certain they weren't there on day one? Because all the rest of us had them on first boot up. Did you do a factory reset or anything? OS update of some sort?

Game of fire, panda pop, go90, and another app were not on my device until yesterday. I did not install them or get a app installed message.

I can't find the thread... there was an app installed that someone pointed out would be good to disable. When I googled it, it was an app that allowed the remote installation of apps. I'll post up if I can find the name of it, but you might go through your app list under settings & look up any unfamiliar apps.

This does not seem nearly as bad as it was in the past. What's wrong with Settings, Phone, Playstore, Maps and a couple others you would use anyway?
Seems way more to complain about than this.

That's the sneaky mother****er that needs to be disabled first thing after setting up your phone. I really cannot believe Verizon utilizes that thing.

3 month necro- but with the, IMO, failure of the Pixel announcement I'm back to exploring my VZW options. Price isn't a concern since work will cover the tab, but it must allow me to turn on mobile hotspot with an unlimited data plan. VZW loves to **** with the MHS app to disable it for those still on grandfathered unlimited data. carrier unlocked/unbranded phone = MHS works. Verizon-branded means it doesnt. Can anyone confirm that's true here?

I'd rather not have to root and replace the MHS app to get it working and then wait for new versions of the app every time a (rare) OTA is available.

Confirmed works for me. Corporate data plan though. We have unlimited data.
