Adding to the sd card?

I'm trying to add my old texts from my iphone, but I can't figure out how to transfer my text.xml file to my new droid 2. I'm trying to use the app sms backup & restore, but it says to put the .xml file in the /mnt/sdcard/SMSBackupRestore/ folder, but I can't exactly find it...

If the folder doesn't exist, just create it.

I tried that and it didn't work, my phone isn't rooted so does that matter?
