Do I need to clear cache before new VOLTE update?

Just downloaded 21.44.8 but havent updated yet.

Do I need to clear the cache or does that even matter at this point...
I cleared the app caches...but thats it

Im still running Kit Kat this is just the VOLTE update and some minor fixes. No new OS.
Is that what u are asking?

I guess I wish I would have cleared it prior to downloading the 21.44.8 in the first place b/c I wonder if clearing the cache will some how mess it up.

Only had device for 2 weeks so far, so not 'much' in the way of temp files on my system

Yup, you got what I was asking. A cache clear wouldn't be needed, but you won't hurt anything by doing it. I clear mine once per month. Once you get a major OS upgrade, next one is 5.0, then yes, a clear (possibly even a reset) is a good idea.

Yeah wish I would have known about that prior to updating my Nex 7 2012.
5.0 is ruining my experience on that device bc of its slowness...

I cleared mine after about a day after, i clear mine about once a month anyway.. Dont know how much good it does since i use clean master anyway.

No. I don't have a turbo, but every OTA update I've done on my Droid Maxx has included a cache wipe as part of the install. I'm betting that the turbo is the same.
