How does the Otter Box work with the Droid Turbo, any good?

Otter Box

I just upgraded to the DROID Turbo 32GB Ballistic Nylon and also purchased an Otter Box Defender Case.

I have had a DROID RAZR HD for 2 years, screen still looks new. I have not had a case on it.

Thoughts on Otter Box?? Return, use?

I always see the "you don't need it until you don't have it" scenarios where customers come in with broken screens after they return their cases...the defender is pretty bulky but it will definitely make sure your phone lasts! You could also try a different brand case + screen protector. The Tech21 brand cases are one of my personal favorites.

i dislike Otterbox cases. i think they are clunky and expensive. i love TPU cases. check out Diztronic TPU. best value for the buck IMO. slim and minimalist yet offers great protection -

I had defender case on RMHD that was over 2 years old. Still looks brand new. So yes I have it on my turbo. Need strong belt clip for work and just can't stand thin feeling phones. I understand the desire but it's just not for me. I like the feel of a brick. Plus I could drop it on cement from my roof and it would be fine.

The Seido Surface Holster Clip will barely hold it. It's a tight fit though.

I have the Defender for my Turbo. I like the case but the holster/clip is terrible. They went really cheap and thin so it flexes easily which causes the phone to pop out. I have dropped this phone more than any other I have ever used put together. So far no damage but crazy annoying.

... is reeeeally nice.

Perfect fit, all ports fully exposed, no tight fit getting charger/headphone in.
GREAT grip - especially when pulling out of your pocket or purse. I wanted a 'flat' sides (as opposed to curved) so I could grap/hold it easier, and this is it.
Power / volume button easily pressed.
BUT ... may be too bulky/heavy for some tastes ... it is a bit on the heavy side.
Less cost that OtterBox for sure.
I've dropped my phone twice ... but you would never know it
I tried 3-4 other cases first, ended up with this.

I would however like to see more color options (I have gray).

I work in a rough environment and the defender protects very well. It does, however collect some dust under screen guard. Overall i would recommend it.

I have the otter box commuter series its not as big and has nice grip and rounded edges. It also has all the microphones exposed seamlessly and is nice to hold, fits in my pocket nicely as well.

I read one review that said this phone actually comes with one free screen replacement if broken.

I love my otterbox defender on my ballistic nylon droid turbo. I removed the defender's built in screen protector and had the Verizon flexible glass/plastic protector applied to my phone screen. I love it and and very pleased with it.
